Hi slowguy and welcome to TSF

I assume you've installed the correct audio-drivers for your new PC's Operating System, from the card's web-site?

What make/model is the PC and sound-card?

If it's old, it's likely not (properly - fully) supported.

As noted above, provide the hardware info and ensure the card is supported by the manufacturer for the new OS.

Hi guys thanks for getting back to me,
Yes all drivers/software are up to date...
I'm using a AMD FX 6300 six core with 16 gig of ram, with windows 7 64-bit
. the soundcard works fine in my old pc but through this pc I get clicks (Using the on board soundcard is fine/ I have tried disabling the onboard sound card) and it seems all music is dropping out, on youtube mediamonkey and using cubase, funny its not so bad playing back mp3's when I'm surfing the net/ using the mouse, it drops out a lot less but If I go away from the pc and leave it playing it can be quite bad. Any ideas?

Brand and model of the "old" soundcard?

Based on what you are experiencing, I'd say it's a driver issue.

Read this page carefully, as you might need a firmware-update, then try the drivers from this page too - Link

"Old PC" implies old OS.
"New PC" likely means a newer OS...likely Win7.

So, the difference would be different drivers are used.

How are you checking you have the latest drivers? You can NOT rely on Windows or Windows Update to confirm you have the latest drivers. Windows only checks for the latest certified drivers from Microsoft, which are typically not the latest version available from the device manufacturer.
