Hey guys,

Ive got a fairly new Dell Inspiron 3541. Ive been using an external USB recording interface occasionally when i do my recordings and now my audio on my laptop speakers have just stopped working.

Its almost like there seems to be no audio sound card recognized by the system. I have also lost my headphone jack audio output. However when I plug in the HDMI to my TV I'm able to get audio through the TV only.

Here are some screen shots:

Here's with the (HDMI) TV plugged in

Here's another when i opened up my dictation software:

Any idea what's going on? Please help

Thanks in advance

My System

Check Device Manager to see if the audio chipset is listed? If it is listed, what is the device status?

You can try manually updating/reinstalling the audio drivers. You can get them from the Dell website.
