It's one of the most annoying things on the internet and I would like to know how to fix it.

Every video that I click on, whether it be, ESPN, YouTube, Blaze, MSN, etc, the video plays at max volume which about blows my ear drums away. I am so annoyed by it but don't know what to do. The worst are the ones that plays automatically without me pressing the play button. Imagine pressing a link to read the news at 2 in the morning when all the sudden, a video starts and it plays at full blast.

Please tell me what I can do about this?

Thank you-

I shouldn't have to adjust volume there. I play BF3 and I have the volume at half level. I don't want to turn it down too low. But these Web videos are playing at max volume. Who would set the default to max?

There are seperate volume controls for various devices/audio types. Trial and error should allow you to figure out which controls the offending audio types. Aside from that, turn the main volume down.

Here are the options on this laptop. My desktop has several other entries.
