I have a headset which is Sades SA-708 and i set it up on my computer which is windows 8.1. when i go into playback devices i disable speakers and set communication headphones to default but when i disable the speakers it shows me down in the bottom right when i hover over the volume it says "headset and or speakers not connected". I think its odd because I can hear my Skype calls thru headset and everyone can hear me thru my mic. The only issue i have is when the speakers are disabled I cant hear any of my games I play Only thing i can hear is Skype calls and steam calls. I'm at a loss of what to do at this point.

Hi and Welcome to TSF!

Why disable the speakers? The PC should adjust the sound to output via the sound jack on the front or rear of your PC.

As noted, when plugging in the headset, Windows should automatically disable the rear speaker output and all audio will then use the front headphone port (and your headphones).

As for the config, the default "communications" device is what windows uses for "communication" (ie: Skype). All standard audio (ie: Windows audio, music, games, etc.) use the default audio device (not the communications device).
