Hello
I have an xbox one, which under network lists it's NAT type as OPEN.
The only games i play really are Call of Duty(s).
For a while, my NAT type on CoD is listed as moderate (Despite the Xb1 network being open). Now, for the past week or so, it is strict.
I have tried many common fixes to no avail and i am lead to believe it is a router issue.

I use the BT Homehub 2. The uPNP is on, i have tried port forwarding which has not worked. To do this i used guidance from portforward.com and followed it to the letter.

I then tried placing the Xb1 into the DMZ. when i do so, and click apply, there isn't really any clue that the changes i have made have been saved. It notes that hosts with statically assigned IP addresses cannot be placed into DMZ mode - i honestly aren't sure what this means.

Any help or advice is welcome. Should i be looking at investing in a better or more suitable router?

Let me know if there are any other details you need to understand.. and apologies for my poor terminology.

For reference, the guide i used to attempt port forwarding was the following;

Hi and Welcome to TSF!

Is there any problem here? Beside that of the NAT showing different readings. Are you having trouble connecting to CoD games?

Hi
Matchmaking doesn't seem to be too much of an issue, but i suffer heavy lag in-game since the NAT has turned strict.

See if you can detect if any of the ports you opened are actually opened:
