Hey mate, Welcome to TSF,

Your firewall is what stops bad connections to and from your PC to the Internet. It basically filters out the network traffic allowing traffic which allowed through and blocking unwanted traffic (such as malware).

There is much more to it then that but that explanation should serve for what I think you are asking.

What context are you asking about Firewall for?

All games keep crashing randomly!
