Hello everyone, thank you for reading this thread. My problem is that i'm trying to play a game using firefox ('cause it supports java) and for some reason I see the java task in my Task Manager but the game doesn't open up. People said to check the the regedit for something called "display_mode" but I can't find it in my Java files. It should be under Javasoft>prefs>project(x) .. most people have various files in that same file, I've only got 3. Any ideas? And none of the 3 have to do with display configs. which I personally think is the problem.

My computer is a 64-bit win10. So I do have java 64 bit installed.

FF>Tools>Add-ons>Java Platform>Always Activate
Make sure you have version 8 at least update 121.

Hello there, thank you for responding. I don't actually have the java platform add on, only plugins. What should I do?

The Plug-in will show if you follow what I said in Post #2. Make sure it's activated.

It doesnt let me upload a pic but these are the ones in regedit in prefs:
anonymous_log
antialiasing_level
aresnal_group..
chosen_control...
clean_version
control_scheme
effect_gain
interface_gain
language
menu_panels_out
music_gain
render_quality

I dont have any of these, yet the computer that does, can run the game perfectly.

In Firefox, not another browser go to https://www.java.com/en/download/windows-64bit.jsp and re-download and install. If all goes OK, make sure the browser has allowed it as FF is trying to cut down on unpatched areas. See this: https://www.java.com/en/download/hel...le_browser.xml
