I had originally posted this in the general networking forum because I wasn't aware of this specific subforum. I was initially receiving help, but I haven't gotten any further responses. My original post from the other thread is below:

I've been trying to play Duke Nukem 3D online for a while now using a source port of the game called xDuke along with a netplayer called YANG. I used to use it in the past with no issues, but a while back we were having problems with the internet in our household and a family member decided to call our isp (AT&T) to have the issue resolved. Since that point, I believe, I have not been able to get YANG to work. I can't remember the details too clearly as it was around 2 years ago.

As far as I can tell, I have the program set up fine and my ports forwarded correctly, but I'm not 100% positive. I did try (foolishly) fixing this issue myself with some online guides and the first time I restarted my computer after doing so I got a message stating "Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer. Contact your network administrator for help resolving this issue. More details are available in the Windows System event log." My cousin has also said that on his computer he occasionally gets a DNS error message in Google Chrome and it seems like it was since that point.

So in a nutshell, I want to find the source of the problem to play this game online and to be sure our internet is set up properly. If any further information is needed, I will try to provide it as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for any help.
