Hi, just joined here due to some technical questions i have, I currently play Lord of the Rings online and have had recent issues lately...here is the rundown.

i played for several months unhindered and one day i log into a character and i cant move, after this the ability to actually log in became rare and now if i even manage to log into several(but not all) characters i cannot seem to move, here is all thats been tried

CONSTANT contact with turbine tech support(useless)
Constant contact with Clear Wireless tech support(see turbine tech support)
Port forwarding(done EXACTLY as outlined on clear website faq)
dns flush
reconfig the ip
Clear wireless technicians have "applied fixes" to my unit several times in a effort to fix the issues
there have been several other moves made but to be quite honest this has been a issue with a month+ and dealing with all these tech support folks has been one blaming the other so i've come here seeking help

Yes, i updated everything capable of being updated including flash and java just incase

Has your internet speed dropped since you started having this problem? The character not moving suggest slow internet speed. Could you post a Speedtest.net result just for info?

i think thats part of the issue at the least, with this isp i've had alot of issues with sporatic speeds(either quick or slow) ...i can run speedtest.net twice in a row with dramatically different results https://www.speedtest.net/result/2587853593.png

My System


To diagnose computer problems, change one variable to see where the problem lies. For example:

Can you play using your computer on a friend's Internet connection?
If so, the problem lies in your Internet connection, not the computer.
If not, does the friend also have Clear Wireless? If they don't, then the Internet connection is irrelevant to your problem. If they do, try to connect from a provider other than Clear.

If you don't have another Internet connection you can use, come at the problem from the other end: Can you play using another computer on your Internet connection?
If so, the problem definitely exists in your computer, not the Internet connection.
If not, then your computer is probably irrelevant to the problem; the problem likely lies in your Internet connection or your LOTRO account.

Post back and we can go from here.

Your download speed does seem very slow to me, though.

Closest i have been able to replicate your suggestion would be i had a friend log into my account via his computer and his internet connection...it worked fine.

i only have one computer and its a desktop so taking it elsewhere would be a challenge

Unfortunately, what you did only tests whether your LOTRO account is OK and LOTRO is up and running. If you want to test your Internet connection, you're going to have to have another computer connect using your Internet connection. If you want to test your computer, you're going to have to connect your computer to another Internet provider. Otherwise... you're just shooting in the dark, updating drivers and reinstalling and tweaking settings ad infinitum until you stumble across the solution.
