Im an Online gamer guys, and im having this problem with my ping.
whenever i check the ping in command prompt its fine but when i start playing the game, the ping fluctuates from 30 to 1000 or 2000. i think its because of my wireless adapter (im using a laptop btw). with this thought, i brought my lappy for technical support and they've checked the ping and cant seem to find any problem with my laptop. they said maybe the problem is my router, however in our apartment we are all gamers and we play the same game. im the only one having this kind of problem.. whenever we compare pings mines always fluctuating. i tried plugging it directly to the router and the ping problem is fixed, however i cant always stay near the router to plug the laptop.

have any idea guys??? i really need your help. thanks

Online games i play are Starcraft 2, Dota 2

First thing I was going to ask.

What's the make and model of the laptop and the router?

Okay so here's the support page. First off I want you to reinstall your wireless driver.

ASUS Canada

You'll want to open the wireless drop down button
Download the Realtek Wireless Lan Driver and Application

Make sure it is dated: 2015/10/26

You could go into your router. Change your wireless settings and make sure it's only giving out wireless N traffic. This might stop some older machines from connection and maybe the Wii-U. You'll need to do this while the machine is wired in so it doesn't get kicked out and you can confirm. Usually best to router changes through a wired connection.

high ping
hello, as you can see in the topic i got an issue with "high" pings. I got dsl 16k and recieve 13k and at some points i get 150-300 pings. i think the cause is there are too many clients in our network and the bandwidth is fully used so the packets send, arrive delayed. Is it possible that...
