Hello and welcome to TSF, OnlySkills!
I've ran Windows 7 since it's RC release and I was very impressed, as it was superior to Vista (which was already superior to XP) and kept it's quality and effeciency since, no problems at all.
You go to Microsofts site
and download Windows 7, which comes in an .iso format, which you can burn using IMGBurn
, which is free. Then, you just install it on a partition, or whereever you desire. It's free, and will be for a few months I believe, then the evalution period will be over, and you'll have to actually buy it, which I know I'll be doing.
If you don't think you're able to run Windows 7, you can always try using Windows 7 Upgrade Tool
, which will anaylse your system as it stands and tell you hardware and driver wise if you're able to run Window 7 to it's full capability.
I have build 7100, which is what I linked you too, I'm unsure if any newer versions are avaliable as of now, but a quick Google seach will do some wonders, believe me.
