Security Update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 (KB2538218)

Download size: 249.8 MB

You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.

Update type: Important

The update acts as if it is about to get ready to install. It creates a restore point and then stays at 0% for days straight. What's that problem with this?

I'd suggest just downloading it and installing it from the Microsoft website, instead of through windows update. Download details: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 MFC Security Update

Hi panda100123,

I agree with Stephen Bowles but as an alternative, you can also try resetting the Windows Updates components and see if that helps next time: How do I reset Windows Update components?

Hope everything works out well for you.
