I seem to be having trouble with updating Microsoft C++ 2005 Redistributable, and every time I try to replace it, it comes up with an error window which basically says that the network resource is unavailable (even though it should be locally stored) I've tried uninstalling with Control Panel, and it comes up with the same error, I've even tried searching for it and all that comes up with is vcredist.bmp, rather than vcredist.msi, There is a screenshot of the error posted below, when I try to uninstall via Control Panel, it says to check if I have the correct priviledges to access the file, even though I am running the true admin, please help!!!

Thanks in advance!
Connor

The update is looking for the install .msi folder that this program was installed from (like a CD or Downloaded file) the error is pointing to a Temp folder. You must browse it to your CD or the downloaded folder that you installed this software from.

The last time I remember updating this version of C++ was during the installation of another program (I don't remember which one) so I don't have any installation media for it

Try this: Download: Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (IA64) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
You may need to uninstall the previous version.

I've tried doing that, and uninstalling the previous version, and the error above comes up every time, I've even tried using the Administrator account, in case it was a problem with the permissions but no avail
