Is there a way for me to recover the stupid idiotic mistake that I did? What I did was removed all the permissions to a partition on my HD that contains all my trading files and folders making it impossible for me to open ANY of my files on that partition. I thought I was removing the permissions for others on my network and selected the read only attribute. Then when I tried to allow full control after I realized what I did, it tells me access is denied.

So is there anything I can do to recover what I screwed up??

try changing it back through the hidden admin account... Enable the (Hidden) Administrator Account on Windows 7 or Vista - How-To Geek

My System

Hi-

You can also use system restore to reset the permissions to just before the incident happened. See here for additional info: How do I restore security settings to a known working state?

Regards,

Mark
