My computer keeps restarting when I try to download a file from the net??

I have win 7 and reformatted my hard drive, installed a fresh copy of windows 7 and everytime I go to download a file from the internet my computer keeps restarting right after I click the download button??? Please help??!!!

P.S.
I got this laptop from someone and reformatted the hard drive and put a fresh copy of win7 on it.

have you tried with an eathernet cable? (just a thought)

could be a bad wifi driver?...
go to device manager and have a look around.

I am using firefox, this doesnt happen on my other laptop that has win7 and firefox also.
