The "compress zip file" link under "send to" has mysteriously disappreared when I right click on a file(s) or folder(s). I am looking for another way besides using system restore to try and recover it.

How else can I create a zip file besides using "send to"?
Thanks, Paul

Hey interceptor, I did a little searching... "SledgeDG" posted an answer with a link here: No right click send to zip - Windows 7 Forums which leads to here for more directions: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ult-items.html

Hope this points you in the right direction

I don't understand why but I cannot save the file to desktop - or any otherway - and open it to extract the files. I have spend a couple of hours trying everywhich way I can but nothing is working to restore the compress zip file right click link. I also can't get to the "unblock" window (I think that is b/c I can't get to the file to save to desktop.) I have tried all everything and it is driving me crazy. I downloaded 7zip and tried that but the directions suck. Winzip works pretty good on the trial version just a drag compared to the one step process of the right-click function that that was originally loaded on my pc. I use it a lot and wish I could get it back.
