Any ideas?

Anyone? It seems to automatically switch to Japanese every once in a while. This is very annoying!

My System

Try this

Start Menu
Control Panel
Clock, Language and Region
Chane keyboard or other inputs (below Region and Language)
keyboard and languages (tab)
Install/Uninstall Languages (button)

See if that works.

Thanks for the suggestion. What finally ended up working was unselecting Japanese as the default language before removing it. I had not noticed that it was selected as the default language. Apparently, you cannot remove the default language.

I assigned a new default language and was unable to remove Japanese. I still have no idea how it got added as a language in the first place though.
