Hello dear forum. I have an another question to you :)
So my ram are 2x8gb DDR3 Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz.
I decide to check ram by Windows Memory Diagnostic from Windows 10.
But i dont know why it taking so long. In options i choose 2 loops and Extended test. Currently i am on 14 hour of test and its 50%. It is normal that is taking so long or something wrong?

Windows Memory Diagnostic is not likely to be as good as some of the 3rd party testers.

I fail to see why you are so concerned about the condition of your hardware, it's new and works as expected from what I've witnessed, just play games and stop looking for faults that don't exist.

Yes but i want to know why it taking so long. I choose 2 loops and extended test.
Currently i am on 90% of 1 loop and 45% overall. And i am on 14 hour in test. Is this normal or something wrong?

Probably normal for 16GB, I've never needed to do it. It might help to check MS' documentation on it.

Better to just reboot and play games though, there's nothing wrong with your RAM.

But somebody with 16gb ram finish test with 2 extended loops in 8 hour.

:"For the record, it took just less than 8 hours for the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to run thru 2 testing cycles on 16GB of RAM I was testing."

So i am on 14 hour and its 45% , but he finished test less than 8 hours.Any ideas?

A long test on one stick of Ram can take the best part of 8 hours, sometimes it can be stuck in a loop and seem to continue, if no errors are shown the test can be stopped. Running the test on two or more sticks of Ram at the same time can show false errors and take longer.

I am on 45% overall and on 90% in 1 loop of 2. And now is 14 hour of test. But no errors messages. So is this normal time duration? Wait more or stop test?

My rams are 2x8GB

What Panther said: Stop the test, your RAM is fine.

Sew, your comparison with another person's test might be apples:oranges, you set 2x loops plus extended test, the other person may have set only 2x loops.

Stop looking for problems that don't exist, stop cross-posting your non-issues to multiple sites without adding links to those other topics, you're wasting time for many of the users who keep trying to help you.

I can go to options in test so it not freeze. But i dont know why it taking 14 hours to finish 90% of 1pass. Somebody said:"
It took my system 26 hours to run 4 passes of the extended test and I have only two 8 GB modules."

So he finish 4 passes in 26 hours, so why i almost finish 1 pass on 14 hour?

I choose 2 extended passes.He chooses 4 extended passes.

No ideas, "he" might be using a different Windows version but (as you refuse to give anyone a reference for it/anything) whatever, it's irrelevant.

The only problem you have currently is Black Ops 3 crashing. You don't have any problems with your hardware.

In the future, if you see a possible memory problem, just run the standard test. If it comes up positive, run one of the good 3rd party apps before purchasing new RAM.

There can be so many reasons and you have told us nothing about the system so its impossible to say more but isn't the key response the fact that nothing is wrong? Why did you run the test in the first place?
