Hi.
I have a Packard Bell iXtreme 2613 it has 3gig of ram and i want to put another 1gig into it.

1 slot has 2gig the other has 1gig, so i wanted to swap the 1 gig for another 2gig as its so cheap at the moment.

The serial numbers on the 2gig strip say

2gig 2Rx8
PC2-5300v-555-12-EO
DDR2 667 CL5

I was looking to buy said ram from "Memorybits" but my pc wasnt listed on thier site so i had to mail them my pc tech data.

I did find what appeared to be a match on the site here

https://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/kin...667d2n52g/5601

But they suggested this one ?

https://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/kin...d25664e40/6133

Now the only difference i can see is the speed, mine is 667 and the one they suggest is 533 ?

O, and price ;p

Can anyone please advise me further.

Thanks

Vale

My System

Straight away i see you're using a 32Bit OS. So if you were to upgrade to 4GB of RAM you would only 'Really' Be using around 3-3.5GB.

I have read so much on this issue but even another half a gig is better then nothing right ?
The consencious was that vista 32bit would only use 3 gig but this seems to have moved to the 4gig max as time and opinion moves on.

Whats you views on this ?
