Hi! I had a question on which type of RAM I should be buying. My motherboard is a PC Chips M935LR with a chipset that is SiS 650.

this is the ram im looking into buying: https://cgi.ebay.ca/1GB-PC-2100-DDR-2...QQcmdZViewItem

Will it be compatible with my motherboard and chipset? Will my computer be able to accept the high density type of ram?

Thanks!

Hi,

If in doubt, assume it will only take low density. Because that RAM is not a reputable brand, it is not safe to assume that it is low density RAM.

I have 512mb RAM. Why does it say 448mb?
I have 512mb RAM. However, it says in Conrol Panel - System that I have only 448mb of physical RAM. I checked the sticker on the RAM stick, and it says it's 512mb. That's a 64mb difference. I used to have 1024mb of RAM, but I had to return one of them. It had errors, according to memtest. ...
