Hey everybody.

I am in the process of building my own PCHT (PC home theater) but I am unsure about which power supply I will need for my system:

- MB: Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H
- Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor.
- G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
+ HDD + DVD player + fans....

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Gianni

Thanks for you quick reply Wrench97,

you are saying that 450W is good for what I have but if I were to add a video card in the future (Very possible) what would you do then?

Thanks again.

Depends on the size of the card I would go to a 550w for mid range cards, 650w for a 9800GT or HD4850.

I selected the Corsair 450 because it is a very quiet and will power the setup less a vid card the higher end you go with video the more noise you add to the system.
