i have a HP pavillion dv6725ee laptop it cam with 2x512mb pc2 5200 ram then i upgraded it to 2gb pc2 "6400" is this type of ram the 6400 is ok for my laptop because it says in the hp website that it supports 5200 doesn't mention any 6400 ram. i wanted to maximize my ram and i wanted to put another 2gb 6400, is it ok to continue using this 6400 instead of 5400? btw my 2gb 6400 ram was only given to me so i wanted to use this rather than giving it back and i'm currently using it and there were no problems for now and i'm not sure if i'm getting all that benefits of this 2gb ram...

The 6400 will obviously work but it most likely is slowing down to 5200 speed since thats all your motherboard supports check in the Bios to see what speed it is running at or DL and run CPz > https://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and give us screen shots of all the slots on the SPD tab
