My System

Just the other day i was working on my laptop while it was running on battery power. I slide the laptop a bit closer on the table and it just shuts down. (This is the strange part) now whenever I go to use my laptop it will not run on battery; it must be plugged in. OK, before you start thinking the battery is just loose and the terminals are disconnected, i checked them. Nothing. I took the battery out, put it back in, checked the terminals for loose or bent connections, nada. My laptop charge indicates that the battery is at 91%. Every time it powers up it's a bit lower.
Everything in me tells me it's just a loose wire or something, but i can't see anything unless it's loose in the laptop case... What do you guys think?

I bumpeth this discussioneth, with another detail: I noticed the power out cord from the power brick seemed to have some missing insulation; as if it had been pulled on too hard at one point. But i'm not sure how this would ruin a battery overnight, and not the computer too!
