Question

Hi, i have a ga-ma790x-ds4 motherboard and with the nearing release of windows 7 i am thinking of buying more RAM. i will be upgrading to 7 64bit and the minimum requirements are 2gb of ram so i am wondering if the following would be compatible:

my current sticks are 2x1GB PC6400 OCZ2P800R22GK.
i am thinking of getting another 2 of these OR 2x2GB sticks PC6400 OCZ2P8004GK.
what i am asking is would 2 OCZ2P800R22GK work with 2 OCZ2P8004GK to give me 6GB ram?
Both PC6400 (800MHz) timings are 4-4-4-15 and 5-4-4-15.
Thanks

My System

Use an online site such as Crucial.com

They will show what will work on your MB.

Best solution, get the 2X2 GB matched pair and don't attempt mixing them with the 2X1GB sticks. 4GB will be more than sufficient.
I don't know about Gigabyte Mobo's but Asus Mobo's don't like mixing OCZ RAM with different Latencies.
