I just upgraded my mobo, cpu, and ram last week going from:

Q6600
4GB Crucial
P35-DS35
4870
300GB HDD
HX620

to:

i7 920
12GB G.Skill
GA-EX58-UD5
4870
300GB HDD
HX620

I'm now getting very annoying buzzing and high-pitched noises coming from my psu. The noises happen anywhere from when my pc is sitting idle to whenever I move my mouse. The noises cease immediately after launching a game however. The power supply makes no noises whatsoever using the parts prior to upgrading, and I've also tried a 650TX which gave off the same noises. Anyone have any ideas as to my problem?

If it's definitely coming from the psu check the fan if your not sure try removing the psu from the case and placing it on the bench next to the pc to isolate the noise while running.

It's already out of my case and I'm fairly certain it's not the fan.

Gently stop the fan from spinning see if it stops.
