You're going to get mixed reviews since people have personal favorites, so best to read reviews carefully and then choose the correct one, some would want USB C, others USB 3 so depending on your requirement, the models vary.

We do not suggest getting a name brand USB External drive. Rather we believe you should get a USB External Enclosure with a fan and put your favorite HDD in it yourself. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...ure+with+a+fan Then depending on your needs and budget, you can get an internal HDD like a WD Black on whatever your size capacity needs are. Put the internal HDD into the USB Enclosure.
