I bought a 2TB Western Digital MyBook Essential, and the connector in the enclosure snapped off about a week later (it was not lined up properly to begin with). I had already put all of my data on it. Rather than get it replaced, I bought a Kingwin DK-32u-s enclosure, touted as being capable of handling two 2TB drives. I have not been able to read my drive while in the enclosure. I've tried it in BIG and JBOD modes and in both bays of the enclosure without success. I would be willing to just buy another enclosure or drive reader if it means I can keep that data. Any help would be appreciated.

I would expect in JBOD it would work, but it may need to see both drives. If this is a desktop, mount the disk as an internal drive to at least verify the drive is not an issue, then get a good single disk enclosure, or just a USB-SATA cable or something like the BlackX
