I want to put an ssd drive into an old laptop which runs with xp pro, from what i have read it is better to use an intel brand ssd, also considering a seagate momentus xt hybrid drive if things get too technical i may opt for this chioce instead.
plus I recently downloaded xxclone haven't used it yet but it claims to be able to clone vista and windows 7, maybe linderman just has not updated the sticky post yet(with respect).
Yes for using the SSD on an old laptop since you have already checked the compatibility
xxclone works but I never used it to create an image of any OS installed on one hardware system and used that on a totally different machine. But you can try that to see how it works out
tried using this run command in the run box, split second dos screen pop up too fast to read, want to know if trim is enadled or not, this is on a windows 7 laptop
thanks returned a 0 but checked the registry editor prefetcher and super fetch both have a (3) at the end, plus checked disk defragmenter it has select all disks ticked, cannot seem to change that
