I've used many HDD's and have had no problem setting a master and slave jumper, but I bought two Samsung HDD's and there are only 4 pins in the back, yet the paperwork that came with it shows an 8 pin set, and I have no idea how to set one as a master and one as a slave. Anyone out there know? Thanks in advance.
That's what I thought, but a friend had told me that the computer won't know which drive to boot from. That didn't sound right to me, but I figured I'd ask anyways. Thanks
You may need to enter the System Setup Menu (BIOS) and set the correct drive as the boot drive.
It may be labeled disk priority, hard drive priority, or similar.
You can find this setting usually under boot options.
