Folks,

Lol here...don't know y'all yet, first timer and don't want to offend anyone....read the title.

Sys: Win 7 SP1, 2 internals (300 and 500 gbs), 8 gbs Crucial, pagefile on Par. 1 Drive 1 (sometimes) Asus mobo, 500 w. PSU, WD 1 TB external. MOL + -

Problem: Just had to zero write the 300 internal...too much junk from playin' around with trial prog's. Welllllllll, now the two internals keep switching with each other, sometimes the 300 reads as disk 0 and vice versa, the 500 reads as vice versa.

Question: WT????????

My Theory: I forgot if I config'd them as Master/Slave, or Choice(i forget the exact enumeration, so I hope you follow me)

So, ? again: WT??????

Thanks for any help,

Dino_Saur

Re: Online HD's (0 & 1) keep switching...

If these are SATA drives, there is no need for Master/Slave setting. Each SATA port/cable connects to just one drive.

On the other hand, if these are IDE drives, the drive connected at the end of the IDE ribbon cable should be Master; the one connected in the middle should be Slave.
