I have this problem with my seagate SATA 160GB HDD.
one eve I found a sudden smoke from my HDD when I stopped the PC.
Then after I realised that the power circuit was burned.
I hav 100 Gb data tht is importnt 4 me.....
Can I solve this problem by replacing Power Circuit of HDD ????
Where can I get such circuit ???? is it possible??
Will it let me to recover my data?????

Plz Help........

Do a search on TVS diodes and post a good picture of the component side of the drive controller board for us to view. Many places on the net to purchase boards but its not that simple we will move onto that if needed it may only be a blown TVS diode
