RAID array gradually corrupts

This is a discussion on RAID array gradually corrupts within the Hard Drive Support forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. I'm using two 1TB Western Digital harddrives in a RAID 0. After booting up, the array will work just fine.

I'm using two 1TB Western Digital harddrives in a RAID 0.

After booting up, the array will work just fine. But over the next couple hours individual files will become corrupted until eventually the whole drive is corrupted and inaccessible.

chkdsk fixes it temporarily. But then the same gradual corruption occurs.

Is there anyway to permanently fix this problem?

I'm running Windows 7, and my Gigabyte motherboard's GSATA controller for RAID, not the intel controller.

My System

Could be a power issue, or the controller itself.

hmmm, I might have to switch to the intel controller, or maybe just use them separately.
