Hello!

I'm in desperate need of some help! I was on my laptop today just fine and then i closed the lid, brought it with me to class and then I got the blue screen of death. Now it says "Operating System Not Found." I went into BIOS and for my IDE primary adapter it says None. Since it was the traveling that I think did it I opened up my laptop and attempted to reconnect the IDE controller cable, but to be honest I wasn't exactly sure what to do. So now its in the same condition. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any help I could get would be amazing!

does the hard drive spin up when powered on ??????? you should feel vibrations and hear power up noises on the drive unless its dead ????

I would also try another drive cable >>>>
