Every time i power up the pc, it will stuck at this message "Non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready" and I can not go into window, I have change my Hard disk to new one, and the error message still proceed, not even allow me to install window to the new hard disk, can someone tell me where is the problem? Is that motherboard faulty?

Hi tfishye, boot into the bios and make sure your new drive is listed there, then set the boot priority and boot drive order. The cd-rom first, floppy second, hard drive third. Put the Windows cd in and give it a try. Mike

First of all, follow the directions given to you by my team mate 2pistolpacker .

Then, if it is a new drive, it comes from the factory with the jumper set as Cable Select. Change it to master and make sure if there is another drive on that cable, that it is set to Slave. Put the master on the END of the ribbon cable and the slave in the middle.

(Special note: If this is a western digital drive and it is ALONE on the ribbon cable, then remove all jumpers and place it on the end of the ribbon cable)
