My 160GB' C:\ sata HD is getting full & have to regularly uninstall programs.

I am thinking of getting this:- SEAGATE Barracuda Green ST31500541AS Internal 3.5" SATA Hard Drive - 1.5TB £45 from PC World.

a) is this a reliable one & with these large modern ones will I be able to get 5 partitions using my trusted free Paragon Partition Manager 8.5.

b) what would be the easiest way to transfer the contents of the present HD to the new so that I will not have to reinstall all anew?.

The current OS only supports 4 primary partitions but you must have an extended one to have 5 partitions or dual OS boot. The drive selected will work. The best way is to clone the drive to the new drive using paid versions ghost or Acronis or for Free on the top of this forum stickie's to xclone and also you have clonezilla to make a working copy to the new drive. I have seen some hard drives sold retail have a working copy of Acronis just for this purpose check with the retailer you purchase to see if its included.
