New 2TB WD - comp says to reboot & select boot drive

I'm trying to install a 2tb WD HDD in my HTPC as a storage drive. I've got an Asus M3A78-CM mobo, a WD 320gb HDD with the OS on it & am running Win 7.
I hooked up the 2tb & fired it up, but after the mobo screen, it says to reboot & choose the boot device. I went into the BIOS & the 2tb drive is recognized & the boot sequence is the DVD drive first & then the 320gb HDD. If I unhook the 2tb drive, the computer boots fine.
The label on the drive says that it's ready for use on OS's other than Win XP.
Any ideas?
