Is it possible to merge two separate disks and form one complete partiton. For example, suppose I have one 80GB Internal Hard Disk in my Desktop and I have a 100GB External USB Hard Disk. So, instead of two separate 80GB and 100GB partitions, can I merge both the partitions and form one complete 180GB partition.
This is a function of a RAID controller to create a RAID0 striped set of drives. But you don't normally stripe an external USB and an Internal if the USB disconnects the stripe set is gone forever. in your setup as described the answer is no.
