I used an IDE to USB adapter to connect an old IDE drive (off a Dell 4600) and it was not recognized by my bench test PC. I tried turning the drive on and off, reinserting the USB connecter, etc. It would not recognize. I finally had to connect it to my other old bench test PC as a slave on the IDE cable. But I am scratching my head over why my main bench test PC would not recognize this drive. This happens every time I try to connect an IDE drive to it.
I use R Driver III.

As to the "why", I have no clue.
