How to approach HD errors

Got a hard drive that fails Dell's built in test. See pic below...

Crystal Disc Info says caution due to current pending sector count (100).
Hitachi drive fitness test came across a bad sector and asked me if I wanted it to re write the sector. I said no because I think I should recover the data then error check it. After recovering the data should I find and repair bad sectors with an error check or should I go the drive fitness test route to just re write the bad sector? Once done is it possible that the drive is still good enough to continue using?

Hard drives are not "repairable" when sectors fail the g-list can only hold so many then it fills up. With the correct equipment some outfits attempt to re-certify/re-furbish drives however this is not DIY. The magnetic area's on the platters are starting to fail and not able to "hold" the data reliably and its also a sign of possible impending head failure. I would recover data then sell the drive for HDD parts repair the board is useful to someone needing it for DR
