I'm having all kinds of problems with my new build & I'm trying to narrow down the culprit. I thought it was windows initially, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm going to run memtest86 on my memory tonight when I get home, however, I don't know of any specific testing/diagnostic program for the hard drive. Anyone have any recommendations?

Test the memory one stick at a time. What problems are you experiencing?
