Hello.. I recently installed a new OS (win2k3) and had 2 HD's installed...

Master HD had a 2 partitions c: & d: and the Slave HD had 1 partition E:...

When installing the new OS I changed the 1st HD to have only one partition leaving the Master as C: and the Slave as D:

The install went smooth, however when I try to view the contents of my slave HD it states that "The disk in drive D: is not formated... would you like to format it now?"

Is there any way to format this drive without loosing all of my data?

Thanks for your help!

Hello:

you may need to install your slave drive to another computer as a slave to see if you can rescue your data.

Changing the partition configuration made your system burp and get all confused !! hope fully when you install the drivre in another machine as SLAVE you will be able to get your data.

regards

joe
