I am in a major soup. I bought a hard drive, 120gb hitachi 2.5 hdd enclosure and had a few gbs of original music files stored on this hard drive from a pc. it was working fine on my pc and i was able to access the files. recently, however, i had to store some quicktime files from a mac onto the hard drive from a video studio. the video technician formatted the drive somehow and toldme that now it would work on both pc and mac. he stored the quicktime files and i was able to access them on a mac. When i open the hard drive on the mac, it shows two folders Untitled-1 and Untitled-2. Untitled-1 has the video files as expected, Untitled-2 is empty. however, now the hard drive does not get recognized on the PC. i have checked device manager and it does show up there but not anywhere else on the computer.
i am in major trouble because i now cannot access my earlier music files. please if anyone can help i would appreciate it very much. i am completely illiterate when it comes to this and have tried a great deal to figure out on my own to no avail.
thanks so much,
rima

Hi, welcome to TSF.

Can you see the drive in Disk management?
(Start > Settings > Control panel > Administrative tools > Computer management > Disk management)

Try this program (5-day trial) to access the drive from XP: https://www.mediafour.com/products/ma...al/default.asp
