I am trying to determine if I can increase the drive speed on my segate scsi drives used in my video editing system

I was getting 54 and even 70 mbs on an a new external sata but only 35 mbs on the internal drives anyone know tips or sites ?

Was that a sustained or transfer rate or sequential read? If so, that is a really good speed. The slower drive will be faster if you do things like disk cleanup and then disk defragmentation, but you can't modify the drive hardware to make it faster.
