We were working on a browser redirect issue that included trojans and Iit was almost fixed when I got the BSOD

I ran all the scans that I could and I get error codes 650F:0244 and 650F:1A44

Does the harddrive need to be replaced? If so how do I find out the replacement size without being able to get into it for info.

thanks

I received 4 disks from dell:

1. For reinstalling Dell tools System software
2. For reinstalling cyberlink powerdvd & remote media
3. Easy CD & DVD Burning 10.3
4. Reinstallation CD MS Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2

I received these a few days ago. The machine didnt come with disks, Are these what I need to install a new harddrive?

Should I be able to retrieve some of the files off the old harddrive after the new hd is installed?

Yes you have the required disc to install the new drive. You can use either method below to access the files.

-You can try using a Linux live cd to boot to and see if you can access the files.
-You can install the drive as a second drive to see if you can access the drive contents
-You can install the drive in an external enclosure to access the contents.
