Hello,
I'm not exactly sure where to put this, as I think this covers different hardware in my computer, but somewhat related to my hard drive I guess.
Anyway, quite a while ago I switched out my only internal hard drive for another one because of file space. The upgrade went without a problem fortunately, except for a problem I noticed that never appeared before the hard drive switch. Which is a subtle and low beeping noise that seems to come from my power supply, and this only appears when my computer is not active from stand by mode or shut down. When the computer is active the noise is not present at all. Since it doesn't stop when I actually shut down the computer, I need to shut down the PSU.
From what I can tell, after at least 6 months of use, there seem to be no adverse effects and sometimes the noise appears and sometimes it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to the beeping besides doing it continuously.
What exactly could be wrong?
