i meant all of my full 500gb hard drive, so when it is ruined, i can move ALL that info to a new hard drive (including registry, setups and everything).
and of course a way to update the backup regulary.
that is what imaging software does I'm not familiar with the above software but I use Acronis true image and it is very easy to use. if my c drive goes I pop in a new one, boot to the acronis cd and re-image the new drive from my backup/image.
yup Xclone will let you do the image of all of your data from one HDD to another also if you want you can go into advance and make that image bootable so say you have 500gb which you are imaging to another drive we will call it a "B" Drive
when you select the option for bootable image
then incase your first 500gb drive goes bad all you do is disconnect that drive and hookup the drive with image and boom you are good to go
as for backup regularly I would say create one image backup once a month since you have 500gb of data lol would be pain in the butt to do go through it every day or every week
well, u can backup with the windows built in backup utility if u just need basic backup and restore.
if u are thinking of more features, such as automatic backup plan, incremental backup, differential backup, or backup dynamic disk, u can try this freeware, it is free both for home and business users.
