Xiox, I am having the exact same problem. I too stripped everything out and started from scratch. I plugged in the 20 Pin and got power to the MOB. I can plug in all the fans and they run fine with just the 20 Pin. As soon as I plug in the 12V (mine is 8 pin) nothing. There is power to the MOB as the led lights are on, but with the 12 V plugged in the fans (and everything else) stops working. I also notice that on my MOB there is a an LED indicator that lights when the 12 v is NOT plugged in. This light is on even when the 12 V is plugged in.

SO, is the 12V shorting it out or is the MOB having issues?

the small led light on the m/b usually is the one that shows power to the m/b

the symptoms you have is usually the m/board

what are you running
video card
cpu
m/board
ram
power supply
brand
model
wattage

check the listings in the bios for voltages and temperatures and post them

please start your own threads for your own problems
