hello im running XP on my desktop and my system always crashes in this scenario...

-Only if computer has been turned off for a long time ex. 12 hours.
- then a few minutes after start-up it crashes to a blue screen with lots of white writing.
- the only way i can get the computer to work is if i restart it several times.

please help what is wrong with my computer???? A friend told me it sounds like a motherboard issue... is it? how do i found out???

thanks

Welcome to TSF.

It's hard to say without more information.

Please post the full error message.

Also - we need the system specifications.
If it's a brand computer - post the model/number.
Or - the CPU, motherboard, video card etc. Include the name/model of the power supply.

so i got the crash to happen again but there is a problem.
when it happens it goes to the blue screen with white writing for only about 1 second and then automatically restarts the computer. I dont know how i can get the information off the blue screen when it goes by in a flash.
