My System

I have the following system hardware
-Asus p5w dh
-intel q6700 cpu
-OCZ platinum 4gb ram
-seagate harddrive (300gb)
-xfx 8800gt video card
-corsair 620w PSU

This is my problem
-When the compter turns on, the standard single posting beep sounds and the asus "p5w dh" splash screen appears. From there nothing happens and the system seems to hang. I can't get into the bios

I have tried
-replacing cmos battery
-switching ram sticks
-changing video cards
-re-setting the bios
-unplugging and replugging my hard drive

Any help appreciated

did you use the correct proceedure for the bios reset
turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
replace the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer
what do you get in safe mode

I did exactly as the manual says (same as what you wrote).
The computer hangs at the Asus splash screen, so I can't get to safe mode
