Under Device Manager, This "SM Bus Controller" is listed under "Other" with an exclamation point and it's properties>general states the following:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Update driver found nothing.
A person had a similar problem as seen here, although my computer is Intel.
(A different computer than my profile)
https://www.dell.com/community/Stora...r/td-p/3918432

As you may see within their post, they solved their problem by hitting properties>details>hardware ids and then using the information there to find the right software to install (the technician provided a download link).
My hardware id information is the following:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_361617AA&REV_05
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_361617AA
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&CC_0C0500
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&CC_0C05

The Intel Driver & Support Assistant Says That There is No Updates Needed.

If this problem is fixed, it may help me with performance!! Thank you to all who can help me :) I love this platform.

The chipset drivers need to be installed download windows 7 chipset drivers then right click on the file and select properties then select the compatibility tab, and tick where it says run the programme in windows 7 mode.

click apply at the bottom and then run the file.

reboot and see if it have solved the issue.

Go to Lenovo's support website and download chipset drivers for Windows 7 then install them. Always download drivers from your PC's manufacturer's support website and nowhere else. Driver updater programs are often no good. It's better to manually find drivers from the right source. While those programs do promise convenience, they are not that reliable.

It's there, just not where you saw it last. You're welcome.
